On the afternoon of June 16, 2017, a group of 35 teachers and students from the Confucius Institute at University of Kentucky came to visit the High School Affiliated to Shanghai University. This is the second visit after last year's visit.
Liu Huaxia, vice president of the school, first extended a warm welcome to friends from afar, and introduced the school characteristics to the teachers and students from the United States, especially the process of internationalization. She expressed the hope that teachers and students of the two schools could communicate with each other and inspire new ideas in the concept of education and learning methods.
Yang Zengxiang, Chinese dean of the Confucius Institute at University of Kentucky, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the High School Affiliated to Shanghai University. He said that the Confucius Institute was a cultural exchange institution established by the NOCFL to promote Chinese language and spread Chinese cultural education all over the world. The High School Affiliated to Shanghai University attached great importance to the cultivation of students’ international vision and builds an international exchange platform for students. He hoped that the visit would become a new starting point for both sides.
